Įteka į Jūrą 112 km nuo jos žiočių, ties Kirnių kaimu.\nLokystos vidutinis nuolydis – 183 cm/km, ypač didelis nuolydis yra aukštupyje (pirmuosiuose 10 km) – 350 cm/km. Vidutinis upės debitas aukščiau Virkulės žiočių – 0,42 m³/s, o Lokystos žiotyse – 2,12 m³/s. Upės aukštupio vaga sureguliuota.
