Teka į pietus per Šalčininkus, paskui pasuka į vakarus ir vingiuoja Baltarusijos–Lietuvos siena. Prasideda prie Didžiųjų Baušių, 3 km į rytus nuo Šalčininkų. Aukštupys 9 km teka į pietus, per Šalčininkus, toliau pasuka į vakarus; apie 11 km upe eina Lietuvos ir Baltarusijos siena, toliau teka Rūdninkų girios pietiniu pakraščiu.
