How to claim your page
How an operator claims their upemis.lt catalogue page, and what can be changed once the page is yours.
On this page
Many kayak rental operators appear in the upemis.lt catalogue before they create an account: we prepare the page from publicly available information so that travellers can find you. You can claim such a page and manage it yourself from then on — changing prices, inventory, routes and contacts at any time, without a middleman.
How to claim
The page goes to whoever proves they control the operator’s contact email address — the same one shown on your page. The process has three steps and takes a few minutes.
1. Create an account
Register as usual — with an email address and a password, or through Google. If you already have an account, simply sign in. For how the account works, see Your account.
2. Verify your email address
In your account settings (Account → Settings) you will find the list of your email addresses. We send a message with a link to every address you add; clicking it confirms the address really is yours.
Important: you can attach several addresses to one account. You need this when you sign in with a personal address while the operator page shows a company one — add the company address as an additional one and verify it. One account can hold up to five addresses.
3. Claim the page
The “Claim page” button appears on the operator’s catalogue page only when all three hold: you are signed in, at least one email address on the account is confirmed, and the account does not already manage a rental. Then open your operator page and press “Claim page”. If a verified address matches the operator’s contact address, you will also see the operator on your account page, in the “We found your rental” section.
The page transfers automatically and immediately only when a confirmed address matches the operator’s published contact address — there is no approval to wait for. You will receive an email about it. If the addresses do not match, the same page offers the request form described under “If the addresses do not match”.
If the addresses do not match
This happens when the page shows, for example, an old or shared company address you no longer use. In that case, fill in the request form on the same page and briefly describe your connection to this operator. A member of our team reviews the request: we usually get in touch by phone or email and, once we have confirmed the details, assign the page to you.
What you can change at any time
Once you have claimed the page, you manage all of its content from your dashboard. Nothing is locked: changes are visible immediately, and you no longer need to contact us for corrections.
- Contacts and description — name, phone numbers, email address, website, social media, logo and the operator description.
- Inventory — kayaks, their seat counts and quantities, add-on services. More in Inventory and routes.
- Price list — prices by weekday and season, river surcharges, transport rates. More in Prices.
- Routes — the list of routes, descriptions, photos, start and finish points.
- Opening hours — working hours, the season and closed days.
- Reservations — reviewing bookings, if you accept them through upemis.lt.
You can list several phone numbers. The first one in the list is treated as the primary one — travellers will see it and it is used in emails, so you can reorder the numbers by dragging the rows.
Security
Since the page is assigned automatically, it is worth knowing where the limits are.
- Only an unclaimed page can be claimed. If a page is already managed by another account, it is never transferred automatically — those cases are handled manually.
- One address can only be verified by one account. The address goes to whoever clicks the link we sent first.
- Every verification email is sent to the address itself. If someone tried to claim your page, the message would arrive in your inbox, and nothing happens unless the link is clicked.
- An assignment can be undone. If a page went to the wrong person, write to us and we will detach it from the account. Routes, reservations and payment history are kept.
If you receive a message asking you to verify an address you did not add yourself, let us know at rimgaudas@upemis.lt.
Cannot find your page?
Then we have not added it yet. Once you have created an account, choose “Become an operator” and fill in your details — you can create the page yourself in a few minutes.
