Booking
How the route calendar, booking slots, kayak selection, add-on services, transport and price recalculation work.
On this page
A booking always belongs to a specific route and operator. Prices and availability are not a platform average — they are that operator’s own figures for that day.
The calendar
You open the calendar on the route page. Days are marked according to how many places are still left. Once you pick a date, the system shows the available booking slots — the time intervals in which the operator takes groups.
Slots are built in steps of 30 minutes. Each slot shows how many kayaks of each type are left.
If a day is closed — because of the season boundaries, a closed day, or because every kayak is already booked — we do not offer it for booking.
Kayaks and pricing
In the form you enter quantities by seat count: single, two- and three-seaters. The unit price depends on the day of the week and the season — a weekend or midsummer is often different from a Monday in May.
The price is recalculated as you change quantities. The final amount you see before paying is the one that will be charged: the server checks the price once more when the form is submitted. If the price or the number of available places changed in the meantime, you will need to submit the form again.
Example
Two two-seaters, four people, a Saturday in season, €35 per person:
| Line | Calculation | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Kayaks | 4 × €35 | €140 |
| Add-on services (e.g. 2 buoyancy aids at €3) | 2 × €3 | €6 |
| Total before payment | €146 |
If you also choose transport, its price is added according to the operator’s rate.
There is no platform fee for travellers. For how the operator builds their price list, see the operator prices page.
Add-on services and transport
The operator may offer add-on services — buoyancy aids, tents, kayak transport and so on. The price is given per unit or per person; which one applies is shown next to each service.
If the operator provides transport, you can pick a pick-up or drop-off point on the map in the form. The distance is measured along the road, and the price follows the operator’s rate. When the main transfer is already included in the price, the rate applies only to the extra distance.
Some routes have a minimum number of people. Until you reach it, the form cannot be submitted.
After submitting the form
Submitting the form creates an as yet unpaid reservation and asks for contact details and payment. Next: Payment.
If you do not complete the payment, the reservation is cancelled automatically later and the place becomes available again.
