Events, editions and occurrences

An event is the series (name, public page, content). An edition — also called an occurrence — is one date of that event. Most day-to-day work (price, participants, race day) is per edition.

The home screen

/organizatorius is the portal home. It lists the events you can manage and the upcoming editions. Drafts that still need attention are counted separately. /organizatorius/renginiai is the same list without the upcoming strip.

A limited team role (photographer, arbiter) still reaches the home screen; they only see the events they were granted, and their landing page inside an edition is their role’s screen, not the manager’s.

Creating an event

/organizatorius/renginiai/prideti opens the create form. You choose the kind:

• Tourist — a paddle people book. You can attach a catalogue route. Race-day screens are hidden.
• Sport (marathon) — a race. No route. Categories, start list, results and medals are available.

Anything other than sport is stored as a tourist event. You also set the title, the price, and (optionally) a description. There is no date on this form — you add the first edition afterwards from the event overview. After save you land on that overview.

How an event becomes public

On the create form, status is Draft or Submit for review. Anything other than draft is stored as pending. You cannot publish it yourself — only a platform administrator does that. Until they do, travellers do not see the event. After it is published, editing it keeps it published unless you switch it back to draft.

Event overview and content

/organizatorius/renginiai/{slug} is the event overview: editions, status, and links into the rest of the portal. Public copy, the waiver, and similar fields are edited at /organizatorius/renginiai/{slug}/turinys — see Event content.

Editions

Each edition has its own URL under /organizatorius/renginiai/{slug}/{date}/…. The bare edition URL redirects: managers to participants, photographers to the gallery, arbiters to results.

You can add past dates. That is how older editions with results, medals and photos are brought onto the platform.

On a bookable edition (one that takes registrations on upemis.lt), configuration becomes read-only once the edition’s end time has passed — price, discounts, categories, sponsors, registrations and the occurrence dates. That stops edits a year later. Historical events that were never bookable on the platform stay editable so they can be backfilled. Results have their own lock when they are finalized.

Categories (sport-only)

/organizatorius/renginiai/{slug}/{date}/kategorijos is the category list for a sport edition: names, crew size, order. On a tourist event that URL does not stay — it redirects to participants. Set categories before you need a start list or results; boats register into a category.
